... Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for western Crook County
until 200 am MDT...

At 1031 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across the warned area.
Doppler radar and surface reports indicated 1 to 3 inches of rain
fell since early this evening... with local amounts near 4 inches.

Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause flash flooding to
occur. Some locations that will experience flash flooding
include... Carlile... Devils Tower... Devils Tower
Junction... Hulett... Lightning Flat... New Haven... Oshoto and Pine
Haven.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible over the
warned area through 200 am MDT.

Excessive runoff from this storm will cause flooding of small creeks
and streams... country roads... normally dry washes... as well as
farmland along the banks of creeks and streams.

Black Hills... northern foot hills... northern Meade co

hills... Todd... Tripp and Ziebach. In northeast Wyoming...

* additional showers and thunderstorms will spread north from the
Central Plains into northeast Wyoming and western South Dakota
overnight into Saturday. Due to copious amounts of moisture
available... additional heavy rain and flooding may develop.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means that flooding is possible along rivers and
creeks in the watch area... but is not imminent. If you are in the
watch area... take time to move livestock... equipment... and other
property from low lying areas before flooding occurs. Monitor
NOAA Weather Radio and local media for updated forecasts and be
ready to quickly move to higher ground if rising water levels are
observed or a warning is issued.
