Areal Flood Advisory

Statement as of 6:27 AM MDT on May 19, 2013

Expires 12:30 PM EDT on May 19, 2013

The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a

* small stream Flood Advisory for...
southeastern Fremont County in central Wyoming...

* until 1030 am MDT

* at 616 am MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated an
area of heavy rainfall across portions of southeast Fremont
County. Doppler radar estimated that 1 to 3 inches of rain has
fallen along Highway 135 between mile markers 15 and 30
overnight... and additional heavy rain could cause small streams to
rise quickly and flow over their banks this morning. In
addition... ponding of water and minor flooding along Highway 135
could be occurring.

* Runoff from this rainfall will cause minor flooding to occur...
especially along small streams and near low water crossings. Some
locations that will experience minor flooding include... along
State Highway 135 between mile markers 15 and 30. Small streams
of particular concern are Beaver Creek... Long Creek... Government
Meadows Draw and mc Turk draw.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from this heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding
of small creeks and streams... country roads... as well as farmland
along the banks of creeks and streams.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely.

Report hazardous weather to the National Weather Service office in
Riverton at 1-800-211-1448.

Special Weather Statement

Statement as of 2:48 AM MDT on May 19, 2013

Expires 6:00 PM EDT on May 19, 2013

... Accumulating snow will return to the higher elevations...

Cooler air will continue to drain into the area through today. An
upper level low pressure system will continue to wrap some moisture
back into portions of northern and central Wyoming. There will be
enough cold air in place for much of the precipitation to fall as
snow above around 8000 feet... especially during the nighttime
hours. Areas above 8000 feet could see several inches of snow
accumulate from today through Monday. Although much of the snow
will melt on roads due to recent warm weather and a high sun angle...
some roads... including Teton... togwotee and Salt River passes may
see slick or slushy conditions at times... especially during the
nighttime hours. Snowfall should end from Monday night into
Tuesday.

People with outdoor interests should prepare for colder
temperatures and potentially hazardous driving conditions through
mountain passes through Monday.
