... On this date in weather history...

In 1984... late night thunderstorms produced 6 to 13
inches of rain in Tulsa Oklahoma. In only six
hours... 8.63 inches drenched the Airport. The resultant
flooding claimed 14 lives and caused around $90 million
damage.
