The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of Arkansas... Louisiana... southeast Oklahoma and
Texas... including the following areas... in Arkansas...
Columbia... Hempstead... Howard... Lafayette... Little River...
Miller... Nevada... Sevier and Union AR. In Louisiana...
Bienville... Bossier... Caddo... Caldwell... Claiborne... De Soto...
Grant... Jackson... La Salle... Lincoln... Natchitoches...
Ouachita... Red River... Sabine La... Union la... Webster and
Winn. In southeast Oklahoma... McCurtain. In Texas... Angelina...
Bowie... Camp... Cass... Cherokee... Franklin... Gregg... Harrison...
Marion... Morris... Nacogdoches... Panola... Red River... Rusk...
Sabine TX... San Augustine... Shelby... Smith... Titus... Upshur

* Through late Wednesday night

* an upper level low pressure system will remain anchored across
the middle Red River valley of North Texas and southern Oklahoma
tonight and through much of the day Wednesday. While scattered
to numerous areas of light to moderate rain will continue across
portions of the Piney Woods of northeast Texas... southeast
Oklahoma... southwest Arkansas and northwest and north central
Louisiana overnight... additional redevelopment of shower and
thunderstorm activity is expected across central Texas... moving
into the region late tonight. Additional rainfall amounts will
start out as light... but rainfall should pick up in intensity
after midnight into the pre dawn hours Wednesday morning from
the west and southwest.

Periods of widespread heavy rainfall are likely across the
region on Wednesday with additional rainfall amounts of two to
four inches possible across portions of the region through
Wednesday night.

* Residents... particularly those in flood prone areas... as well
as those living near small streams... creeks... and rivers
should be prepared to move to higher ground if flooding is
observed.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts during the next 24 to 36 hours.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
